Pope Francis Speaks to Novices and Seminarians

This past July 4th-7th, seminarians and novices have a pilgrimage to the Vatican City and of course to have mass with the Pope. His message is for all of us, the ones who are still in formation and discernment, but I would like to share some of what he said anyways.

Corpus Christi 2013

Sunday June 2, 2013 was the Feast of Corpus Christi. Traditionally in parishes and religious communities there is a public procession with the Blessed Sacrament to various outside altars. Eucharistic hymns are sung while processing and we also pray the Divine Praises. It is a most precious Feast set aside by Holy Mother Church in which we can publicly witness to our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord & Savior in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

Here is some more information on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.

Memorial Day

Philippine Sea: Flag detail members stand at parade rest during remembrance ceremonyToday Americans celebrate Memorial Day, a day to remember our soldiers who fought for our freedom and paid the ultimate price. We should especially remember those who went missing and their families who may never know what happened to them, or have no closure in dealing with their deaths. May the families of all soldiers, especially the missing and the fallen soldiers know that they are in our thoughts and prayers this day and always. May God grant the families of the fallen and missing soldiers courage, strength, and every consolation.
